Hi y'all, Mike here again with my weekly babble. And you thought that just
because we aren't playing anywhere this week that I would abandon you. Oh yee
of little faith!
First the news. Stacey Pedrock is feeling much better following his appendix
removal. He's feeling so good in fact that he's considering having an operation
to have it put back in. After all, he figures the appendix must have been in
there for a reason. I advised him to seek a second opinion, so he asked Joe
Holaday. Joe couldn't think of a reason not to have the operation so it looks
like it's full speed ahead. The only possible setback could be in trying to
locate the original appendix. But Stacey's not worried because he heard somewhere
that hospitals usually save the parts they remove from famous people. Keep tuned
this could get interesting.
And regarding other band medical info, my left foot continues to heal and the
Achilles is getting stronger. I'm to the point now where I'm learning to walk
without crutches, although I must admit that it's not a pretty sight. I have
to keep my foot kind of turned sideways when I walk and the result is a crab-like
motion. I look like a man who must have enormous testicles and is trying not
to bang them when he walks. Maybe this would be a good time to go hang out at
Home Depot and scare people. I could walk up and down the aisles asking no one
in particular 'Does anybody know where I can get some caulk? I need some caulk!
I need some white caulk and some black caulk! Who can show me some caulk?
Ah well, at least the weather is improving. I'll be back next week to deal with
another 'most asked question'. Namely-'What the hell do you guys do when you're
not onstage?' The answers may surprise you. Till then (when my penchant for
using parentheses will return)
