Dudes and Dudettes,it was a fun time in Salem the other Night.
Many faces and friends from the past. Though it was a little crowded and the only room to move around was on stage, people seemed to be in a rockin' mood. Before I get to the inspirational part of this week’s message let me remind you to get your tickets early for the Nashua show on April 4. From what I hear they're going fast.
Also we're going to be live on WHEB Tuesday morning April 1st so tune in - we might play a song or two.
Now as to this week’s message, I feel it's only right that I answer a question that's been asked quite frequently of me over the years. People ask, "Mike does God like rock n roll and if he does is he a Fools fan?"
The easy answer of course would be to say yes, God is not only a rock fan but also a huge Fools fan and he's been with us since the beginning of the band. But I knew you guys would want proof so I took out my bible and found a few passages to illustrate the point.
How about this one from Isosceles 28-41 "…and the Lord said who shall
smite the people? I need that they shall be smitten. And yay I say unto
you that it shall be a fool who shall smiteth them."
And how about this passage from the book of Erogenous chapter 7 line 22 "I gave to him a rock that he may poundeth what he will; and the pounding was good." Or this line from Follicles chapter 13 "It was a fool that I sent among them that he may maketh them laugh and then poundeth them with a rock."
I think these lines clearly illustrate that God likes fools and rocks!
So until next week, when I promise to tell you some true tales about famous rock stars I've met over the years, adios amigos and keep rockin’
